APS6 - Advisor, Digital Analytics

As part of the Library’s team, you will help support organisational reform, working collaboratively with your team to shape the Library’s future. We are looking for an APS 6 Level Advisor, Digital Analytics who will demonstrate our Business and Leadership Functions, uphold the APS and Library Values.

The Advisor, Digital Analytics role will provide expertise, technical knowledge and specialised advice across the Section for the delivery of the functions of the Branch. This will include:

  • Demonstrating their understanding of digital analytics and conventions, video production, eDM skills and content advertising.
  • Researching and developing strategies to extend the demographic reach of the NLA.
  • Amplifying education and communication materials among the digital community.
  • Guide community members (posting comments on their contributions, connecting different community members and encouraging collaboration, generating resources including webinars, toolkits, etc).
  • Assisting in the coordination, forward planning and final scheduling of digital content.
  • Undertaking website, social media and digital content production.
  • Reporting on website and social media usage.

The Advisor, Digital Analytics role will manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, anticipating and responding to needs and expectations to achieve the goals of the Engagement Branch and the National Library of Australia. This may include:

  • Liaison with a variety of National Library of Australia staff and other stakeholders involved in the Digital Community.
  • Effectively engaging with business areas and subject matter experts to identify solutions that meet business needs and outcomes.

Providing advice to inform the coordination, forward planning and final scheduling of content, allowing for continuous improvement.

The role of the National Library of Australia, as defined by the National Library Act 1960, is to ensure that documentary resources of national significance relating to Australia and the Australian people, as well as significant non-Australian library materials, are collected, preserved and made accessible either through the Library itself or through collaborative arrangements with other libraries and information providers. The Library has four strategic priorities:
