About Us

Monash Health is Victoria’s largest public health service. As part of Victoria’s COVID-19 response, we are responsible for contact tracing across south-eastern Melbourne, managed by the South East Public Health Unit (SEPHU).

We have established a Contact Tracing team based at Clayton and are looking to recruit a number of Contact Tracer Support staff.

About the role

As part of our Contact Tracing team and supported by theOperation Lead and Contact Tracing Team Leaders, you will be responsible for the administrative support of any Covid-19 case, contact, or setting identified.You will follow standardised systems and processes in line with Victorian Department of Health policy and guidelines.

Knowing the importance of working as a team, you will have strong communication skills, attention to detail and great customer service. To be successful in this role you must also successfully complete a range of training and learning modules as part of your induction to the program.

Role specific functions/responsibilities of this position include:

  • Support SEPHU Contract Tracing Officers in the management of case and contact interviews, advice and process.

  • Data entry and management of case interviews and record details into the relevant database

  • Facilitate testing for close contacts and monitor their progress

  • Support the provision of public health information and direction to cases and contacts to reduce the risk of community spread

  • Support the escalation of any exposure site risks

  • Support outbreak management actions where required

  • Data entry, data cleansing and information management

  • Adhere to the established team processes and procedures

  • Escalate any issues or concerns to the Team leader

  • Thoroughly document actions

  • Work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team

  • Adherence and understanding of Privacy and Confidentiality Legislation

  • Timely escalation to Team Leaders and Operational Leads Adhere to policies and procedures relating to relevant areas of work

About You/what You need

  • Currently undertaking education or training in health, science or equivalent experience. May suit people with backgrounds in Public Health, Allied Health, Clinical or Population Research or Management.

You will also need to have Australian working rights.
