We are building software to assist small businesses to effortlessly run their business, engage with their current customers and new business but most importantly, get paid faster! We’re shifting our engineering team to a quality first, coding second approach. With this goal, comes the need for a Quality Assistance Engineer to help foster a shift-left on quality throughout engineering.

Your role is to challenge software engineers to think of quality factors before they start designing and developing. You will join our quality assistance chapter, alongside the cross functional product squads, working on AWS platforms with web customers and native mobile apps.
Create a tool box (e.g. story kick-off checklist, failure mode effects criticality analysis, etc) for our software engineering community Work closely with every team to make these tools part of their day routine Broaden the focus of quality to the complete SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)

Professional Experience/Background to be successful in this role:

    • Working and theoretical knowledge of quality processes that cover the full SDLC
    • Verification and validation
    • Non-functional requirements and verification
    • Testing pyramid
    • Has challenged and convinced people to change their way of thinking/working (change management)
    • Nudging
    • Change management frameworks
    • Leadership & soft skills
    • Has experience with quality analysis of processes (for example identifying patterns of where bugs were introduced, code complexity, quality of pull-requests, etc)
    • Has an engineering mindset
    • Computer Science degree (nice to have)
