About the Role

Embedded within the Programs Department and reporting to the Programs Manager, Treatment Assessors undertake all activities associated with the assessment of prisoner treatment needs and completion of treatment assessment reports. This includes conducting interviews, completing checklists, assessments tools and writing treatment assessment reports to inform the development of offenders’ Individual Management Plans (IMPs).

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • 4 year degree in Psychology or Social Work or relevant equivalent qualification (Essential).
  • Knowledge of offender treatment methods information and models in adult offender rehabilitation and assessment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication styles.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Highly effective and accurate report writing skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage assigned task.
