Data and Analytics Graduate – Information Management

The Role:

Do you have a passion for data-driven insights and creative data visualisation? We’re looking for a current university student or a recent graduate with a passion for data-driven insights and creative data visualisation. The Data and Analytics Graduate will require the ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, rapidly learn new tools and techniques to suit the problem at hand, and a drive to take projects from start to finish.

You will gain experience across a broad range of projects including Smart Cities, IoT and Enterprise analytics, supported by a multidisciplinary team to develop your knowledge, skills and experience.
To be successful, you will have the ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, rapidly learn new tools and techniques to suit the problem at hand, and a drive to take projects from start to finish.

This is a full-time, fixed term, position working 35 hours per week with the possibility of working remotely part of the work week at home.

Selection Criteria:

  • Currently completing, or recently completed, a relevant degree (e.g., Bachelor of Information or Communication Technology, Bachelor of Computer Science).
  • Experience in the application of tools to integrate, analyse and visualise data for business intelligence (eg Power BI or Tableau, Dashboards and Reports, Excel, Azure Data Factory etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop in a modern data warehousing architecture including data extraction, transformation and ingestion, from a variety of different formats, such as API integration, IoT devices and traditional data sources.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills, with demonstrated ability to organise personal workload.
