About the Opportunity

We have an exciting temporary opportunity in the Community Access and Support Department.

The Program Lead Social Connections sits within the Social Connection team and is a temporary full time role available September 2021 until May 2022. The position is focused on working with the community, organising events for the Seniors Festival, running the Bright Ideas Network and the Zest4Life Program. Remuneration for this role will be $87,738 to $95,823.56 p.a (depending on experience) plus 10% superannuation.

This role sits within Community Access and Support, together with:

  • Business Performance
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Healthy Ageing Planning and Growth
  • Regional Assessment Team
  • Community Access and Support (including Disability Inclusion)
  • Youth Services

The Social Connections Team consists of:

  • Community Transport
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Intergenerational Officer

The Program Lead Inclusive Communities position is required to:

  • Consult with the Knox Bright Ideas Network to explore the need for information and education sessions to support Active Ageing in Knox
  • Prepare agendas, facilitate meetings, and circulate the minutes, for Knox Bright Ideas Network meetings
  • Experience with managing events
  • Develop a regular monthly Bright Ideas Newsletter for seniors and carers to promote services, activities and information
  • Coordinate the Annual Knox Seniors Festival
  • Produce the Knox Over 55s Zest4Life program each quarter and manage event

Please note that the Program Lead Inclusive Communities reports to the Coordinator Social Connections.
