About the opportunity:
This is an exciting career opportunity where you will take full responsibility and accountability for the management, leadership, growth and profitability of the Sydney and ACT Aggregate business. You will provide support for the Quarry Managers to deliver key capital upgrades, OIP initiatives and the development of key positions in the aggregates business. This position will also be responsible for implementing new operational initiatives, driving standardisation and best practice sharing and improving the operational performance of the Aggregates business.

You will be responsible for:
  • Work closely with the Aggregates Operational Team and local Quarry Managers to implement national operating standards
  • Grow / maintain market share in line with budget objectives
  • Implement agreed functional excellence sales and marketing initiatives within the business
  • Identify and pursue new business and customer growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key customers and suppliers
  • Work towards operational improvement by initiating benchmarking, cost reduction and revenue increase activities
  • Review cost variations and implement measures to control and improve
  • Active involvement in the NSW/ACT Aggregates management team to achieve maximum results for the business
To be successful in this role you will need:
  • Relevant business degree
  • Previous experience as an Operations or Area Manager, ideally within the Construction industry
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent financial analytical skills
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Quarry Manager Ticket would be highly regarded.
