Title: Accounts Payable Officer, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $70429.62 to $81850.07 per annum + super (subject to skills and experiences)

Role Purpose
Reporting to the Team Leader, Accounts Payable the Accounts Payable Officer ensures the efficient delivery of Accounts Payable related services for Northern Beaches Council in compliance with relevant legislation and Council’s policies and procedures. The range of functions delivered by this role includes undertaking responsibility for the processing and payment of approved vendor invoices, refunds, grants, donations, employee reimbursements and bonds & guarantees within their required terms and conditions.

The Accounts Payable Officer must ensure that all tasks are performed with accuracy, transparency, confidentiality and sound judgement and that they provide considered advice and support to the finance team, Team Leader and Manager. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining effective and efficient processes around the use of Council’s Financial Management Information System for Accounts Payable related services and maintaining the completeness, accuracy and reliability of data for Accounts Payable services through reconciliation processes.
