Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT professional to join our Libraries team at the City of Onkaparinga. The Library Technology and Systems Business Partner is responsible for the successful leadership, coordination and strategic development of library systems and technology across our 6 library branches.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this position ensures that the infrastructure and systems are reliable, fit for purpose and meet current and future service needs.

The role is responsible for:
managing all library technology service contracts

developing a collaborative working relationship with all partners including council staff, contractors and Public Library Services

developing the strategic direction for library technology

ensuring that the community have access to contemporary and emerging technologies

liaison with Public Library Services to ensure our systems support the South Australian OneCard network.

About the Person

The successful candidate will possess:
well developed leadership skills with high level communication skills and the ability to develop strong rapport with all partners

a deep understanding of the role of technology in lifelong learning and quality of life

appropriate qualifications and eligibility for professional membership of ALIA (Australian Libraries and Information Association) or Library Information Technology, Information Systems or Information Management or other relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience
