We are looking to hire a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Human Resources team in Australia for a fixed term. Based in Sydney but working with a global team reporting into the US, this highly visible role aims to provide strategic partnership and consultation to the Australian TikTok user team. This role is a highly flexible role, and would suit someone looking for ideally the workload equivalent of approximately 3 days per week.
As the local HR leader for the TikTok-Australia team, you will support your organization’s General Manager and leadership team across the entire talent lifecycle. The role will be expected to strategize and collaborate with corporate, local, and Center of Excellence (CoE) HR team members to identify growth opportunities, to engage and retain employees through HR initiatives, and to aid in establishing an efficient organizational design.

1. Consult with business leaders to translate business strategies and objectives into an HR roadmap; garner support and identity ownership for that roadmap.
2. Coach leaders on people-related matters including talent assessment, development and succession, organization effectiveness, and high-performing team dynamics.
3. Enhance employee development & management throughout the year by providing coaching, mentoring, and timely feedback; execute a goal-setting agenda with 360 performance evaluations and oversee the formal performance review and calibrations process.
4. Provide guidance and assist the implementation of business restructures, workforce planning, and headcount modeling.
5. Measure and monitor trends and the impact of key HR metrics and dashboards to drive HR needs planning.
6. Proactively manage and resolve employee relations issues; ensure manager and employee compliance with company policies and procedures; partner with Employee Relations and Legal departments to support investigations, as needed. 7. Leverage the COEs (HR Centers of Excellence) to develop and implement programs that foster employee engagement, D&I, and success.
1. Background of at 4+ years as an Human Resources Business Partner in a high-growth company and a total of at least 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, as either a generalist, people leader, business partner, or human capital consultant.
2. Prior experience supporting and working in a Tech Business environment is preferred.
3. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, drive change and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization and challenge the status quo.
4. Comfort with ambiguity; strong judgment and ability to make thoughtful decisions leveraging data and insights.
5. Successful track record of designing and implementing people programs.
6. Demonstrated progression and increased scope in a matrixed, high-growth organization.
7. Deep business acumen and the executional know-how of building and growing businesses through the ongoing development and support of its people.
8. BA/BS degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Human Resources Management preferred; certifications and course work in specific areas of HR expertise a plus, including coaching certifications.
