The School of Psychological Sciences sits within the College of Engineering, Science and Environment. Responding to the demand for graduates with quantitative and analytical skills, the School of Psychological Sciences prepares students and researchers to be visionary thinkers, exploring tomorrow’s big challenges, today. Under the direction of the School Executive Officer, the Administrative Assistant will provide a high-level of administrative support and service to the staff, students and external stakeholders of the school.

Reporting to the School Executive Officer, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing high level administrative support services to Academic staff as well as supporting the general activities of the School. The role works as part of a team of administrative professionals requiring strong organisational skills combined with a commitment to continuous improvement and providing exceptional customer service to all clients of the School.

This is a full time, ongoing position and is located at our Callaghan Campus.

The remuneration is from $65,591 - $71,298 plus 17% superannuation

  • Response to the following five key Essential Criteria:
  • Completion of an associate diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience or certificate level qualification with post-certificate work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, email applications, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to organise workflows to meet competing demands and adaptability to a range of workplace expectations and responsibilities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in the workplace.
