Wimmera Health Care Group is based in Horsham, 300kms north-west of Melbourne and 450kms east of Adelaide. It is the largest hospital in the Wimmera region and provides a range of specialist services including a broad range of Allied Health Services.
THE BURSARY AGREEMENT
Wimmera Health Care Group is offering a bursary agreement to a final year Occupational Therapy student. The bursary agreement provides financial support in the final year of study amounting to a total of $3,500, to reimburse costs associated with study (e.g. course fees, laptop, textbooks, etc). The approved bursary position will commence a 1 year full time contract position at Wimmera Health Care Group as a Grade 1 Occupational Therapist commencing in January 2022.
WHCG OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DEPARTMENT
The Occupational Therapy Department provides regular mentoring to new graduates, an Allied Health Early Careers Program, plus generous financial support for ongoing professional development. The successful applicant can also access eight weeks free accommodation onsite (subject to availability). The position will include rotations in Acute Inpatients, Rehabilitation, and Outpatients.
Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements:
Enrolled in the final year of an accredited Occupational Therapy degree
Currently achieving a credit average or higher
a demonstrated interest in rural public health
Prepared to commit to at least 12 months service at Wimmera Health Care Group following the completion of qualifications
