Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring finance transactions are appropriately actioned through Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities and systems. This role is responsible for completing financial transaction activities to a high standard and level of accuracy. The role also provides information and advice to ACT Property Group staff on financial and system processes.

ACT Property Group provides expert property management and maintenance services to the ACT Government and the community. The Group manages and maintains buildings and property that enable the ACT Government to provide Government and community services. The group supports the ACT Governments delivery of its services through flexible, efficient and cost effective accommodation solutions and property services. Community services and support are also enabled through the provision of properties to community organisations at affordable rental rates. ACT Property Group operates on a fee for service basis with a requirement to provide a dividend to government.

Eligibility/Other Requirements

The following qualifications are desirable:

  • A current driver’s licence (car).
  • Qualification/s or extensive experience in accounting/finance

Notes: This is a temporary position available for a period of six months with the possibility of extension. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is based in an activity-based working (ABW) environment. Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
