The Operations team partners closely with ResMed’s five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities
Creation of production plans that balance of capacity an customer needs, optimise production and minimise costs in resources and inventory
Maintenance of planning system parameters to optimise planning outputs and efficiency
Creation of work orders for production
Monitoring and reporting of schedule attainment
Coordination between purchasing, manufacturing, suppliers and sales operations to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain communication between all departments to ensure visibility of manufacturing issues and customer needs
Review and plan material requirements and prepare work plans using ERP systems
Analyse output from MRP system and check for reasonableness and impact on inventory level prior to converting into supplier orders
Prepare and send material/component forecasts and orders to suppliers on a weekly or as-required basis
Maintain the integrity of relevant supplier information, item planning parameters, open order information
Ensure engineering changes are correctly managed in the material forecast process. This may involve participation in various cross-functional teams and liaising with planners/engineers as required.
Make recommendation for airfreight with justification based on analysis and consultation with stakeholders
Monitor exception messages and reports and analyse anomalies initiating corrective action and following up
Ordering materials for different factory areas, ensuring no stock-outs while keeping inventory levels at optimum
Maintaining accurate data between suppliers and ResMed ERP system
Proactively managing the impact of disruptors such as demand fluctuations, component shortages, quality issues and supplier issues
Resolving situations where information is ambiguous, incomplete or conflicting
Managing tight deadlines and situational pressure.
Interactions with a wide variety of stakeholders both internal, internal and external suppliers
Proactive communication in several forms with both internally and externally with various stakeholders
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
Understands the ResMed Quality Management System and ensures compliance with quality and safety standards.
Understands manufacturing and test processes and uses logical, analytical thinking to anticipate and identify development, production or quality opportunities.
Represents manufacturing within cross-functional teams (XFTs) during the product development cycle to ensure design for manufacture and clear communication across disciplines.
Verifies and/or validates processes and document test outcomes clearly and succinctly.
Selects and utilises appropriate methodologies and technologies that support quality and cost-effectiveness and strategic manufacturing direction.
Accurately and concisely prepares appropriate documentation to support manufacturing engineering activities.
Continuously updates knowledge base to remain current with regard to processes and technologies.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes & equipment for high volume production of discrete products. Process validation skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, including technical reports.
