A bit about your role The primary function of the Records & Information Analyst is to support and monitor the records management obligations of nbn. The role is responsible for:
  • Maintaining nbn’s business rules for records management, including electronic and physical information.
  • Educate and train employees regarding their roles and responsibilities in accordance with nbn’s Corporate Records Management Policy, standards and guidelines.
  • Manage operational records management request and activities.
  • Champion and implement good record keeping and compliance practices across the organisation.
  • Participate in compliance initiatives to improve nbn’s process maturity in alignment with the National Archives of Australia standards and policies.
Working in a small team of compliance and business solution experts, the role will support the Enterprise Records and Content Management team (ERCM) as part of the broader Systems Engineering & Operations (SEO) division. The SEO has the responsibility to support and guide the organisation in technology strategies and initiatives to deliver sustainable, ethical and effective information and data practices across the company. A bit about you The ideal candidate for this role is an individual who has strong knowledge and skills in using a records classification system and retention policies as well as demonstrated experience using disposal authorities (preferably government authorities). Prior experience with SharePoint is a must have for this role. You will have demonstrated skills in using Records Management systems for records capturing, classification, storage, retention and disposal as well as demonstrated experience in developing business rules for implementation in an electronic document and record management system. You will have sound knowledge of and demonstrated ability to understand and interpret regulations, legislation and Government policies as well as experience in physical records archiving, transfer to storage and managing storage account. Additionally, you will have experience in developing educational materials, standards and guidelines to assist in understanding and awareness of a particular subject.
